Calendar Folly 2012
The Mayan long count calendar proposes a new cycle in December 2012. In 2000, our first calendar folly focused on portals of escape. In this spirit, we shift attention to new portals that are both entries to and cross sections through higher dimensions. For example, erosion in time is a slice of a fourth dimension entity traveling through our own; much like a circle is a slice of a sphere falling through a flat plane. We recognize the cavernous entries to other world-views by the shadows and reflections they cast. Inside, their echoes are all we perceive until our eyes adapt.
