Architectural design and its visualization have been closely bound throughout history. Their kinship is especially important within the virtual environment. Pre-visualization (animatics) in film is quickly becoming the primary mode of its creative fulfillment. This diagram has always existed for architecture in forms of physical study models and sketches. The virtual sketch has greater merit in that it is always closer to physical actualization. In its third dimension, all aspects of the design are apparent simultaneously unlike a traditional plan and elevation working environment. Architectural documentation as well as presentation media can be exported, cut and rendered from an informed digital model.
