Cinema proves the importance of our relationship to virtual environments. Sets designed for films and games often provide emotive and techtonic experiences to more people than many visceral counterparts. It's relationship to architecture often questions the paradigms of our perception. Our built environment is arguably just a set for lives which are mainly comprised of acted roles. Both disciplines also share schizophrenic vocational boundaries. This is one reason that cinema, like architecture, is so well suited for today's digital revolution.
